Placements and Internships

1

Companies like Amazon, Wipro, TCS, MPhasis for nontechnical roles and other local companies related to automobile and manufacturing came for Mechanical engineering. The highest package was 4.5 lakh. No alumni network was established by the college. Ten per cent (guess) of students were placed that year.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

3.5

There was a 5-storey hostel for boys only. The hostel fee was 60 thousand per year, excluding food expenses. There were a lot of options available to live outside the campus, also lots of mess options. The infrastructure was mediocre. Most labs had working equipment. The workshop was well equipped. There was no wifi on campus. Classrooms were sufficient for a strength of 70 students per classroom. Mess inside the campus was good, too, with meals and snack options.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

After completing my diploma in mechanical engineering, I got admitted to this college directly in the second year. The eligibility criteria were the percentage we scored in the last 2 semesters. No entrance exams apart from that. The cutoff was 60 per cent for that year.

Academics and Faculty

2.5

Daily classes were 9 AM to 4:30 PM. As it was a district board college, the examinations were conducted according to the timetable given by Pune university. Some teachers were good; some were not. We were not given any assignments. The only submissions we had were of the practical work we did. And those were expected by the end of the semester, making it hectic, coupled with exams.

Fees and Scholarships

1.5

The course fee was 1.25 lakhs per year. No scholarships are provided. Loans from all reputed banks are easy to get. However, I didn't see any college-bank partnerships.

Clubs and Associations

2

There were no student-driven clubs. Annual events included a sports week, followed by the annual gathering. We had some guest lectures and workshops per year. The college was on the outskirts; hence there were no fun activities nearby. You can visit Pune on weekends at the very low cost of travel and other expenses. There are a lot of malls, theatres, and parks within a 10 km radius. There are negligible fun activities inside the campus.
