Karmakararitrika's Review on BESC - The Bhawanipur Education Society College

I have completed two internships with a stipend of INR 5000 per month.

There is a strong network of the Bhawanipur Education College Alumni. The community keeps on increasing every year. There are meetups and events held by Alumni almost every year.

The college canteen is the best part of Bhawanipur. It is a vegetarian canteen with excellent food quality. Moreover, there is ample sitting area for the students to hang out and discuss their studies.

The college library has over 48k+ books and more than 50 journals and magazines. There is also the availability of e-journals and eBooks. The college also provides awards for students who use the library and its collections in the best way possible. Students can also avail of membership with Jstor, British Council, National Digital Library of India and many more.

Any candidate who has passed the 10+2 examination is eligible to take admission in the BA English course. The candidate also needs to pass the English subject, where the full marks being 100. The candidate should also have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and a minimum of 45% marks in the Honours subject the candidate is choosing.

There is no entrance examination for candidates.

Students really have a good time in this college as the college timing is convenient. The BA Hons courses start at 10:15 am.

The professors are very particular about assignments and tutorials. They also help and guides the students with the due projects and assignments. The students are divided into different groups of 10 to 15 people. They are placed under a professor so that individual attention is given to them, and it is easier to communicate and interact.

Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 24,405.

The students who excelled in their Higher Secondary results can opt for scholarships. 

The college has 18 collectives that students can choose from. These clubs help the students to have holistic development and to participate in co-cultural activities. These clubs hold regular meetings and sessions during college hours.

UMANG is the largest fest of the college.
