SMKFIT has a dedicated Placement Cell that is committed to the following objectives

SMKFIT is a fully WiFi-enabled campus.

Candidates should have obtained the minimum marks as prescribed by Anna University for admission.

For HSC, Academic, Vocational, and Diploma Holders(Lateral Entry), the average total marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry should be a minimum of 50% for OC, 45% for BC, and 40% for MBC.

For candidates belonging to SC/ST, a mere pass in the qualifying examinations will be sufficient.

Equal opportunities are given to both genders in admissions, employment, training programmes, sports activities, etc. So gender issues do not arise. The college supports women faculty and students in participating in various club activities and encourages them to participate in events focusing on women empowerment and promoting leadership qualities in women.

Women’s day is celebrated on campus. Each year, one best girl student is selected from each department and are awarded an eminent personality award.

Other institutes organize activities on climate change. They are taken for industrial visits to effluent, Water treatment plants and other places that educate them on environmental issues.

NSS, YRC, which extensively carry out environmental protection and ecological preservation activities, are also initiated by awareness programmes.
