KVPY Registration 2024

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana is an online-only exam funded by the Department of Science and Technology (Govt. of India). It is conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. KVPY Registration Process

Students have to fill KVPY form 2024-25 through the KVPY official website. Offline registration is not available for the KVPY Olympiad. Students must fill all the details form very carefully while registering for KVPY as it becomes difficult to change the credentials after the issue of the KVPY admit card.

KVPY Eligibility Criteria

The student should go through the eligibility criteria before registering for the KVPY exam. There are three streams under the KVPY olympiad - SA, SX, and SB.

All three of them have different requirements according to the class.

Eligibility Criteria for SA

Students studying in class 11th come under the SA category. The student in the general category must score a minimum of 75%, and students from SC/ST/PWD must score a minimum of 65% marks in their 10th standard to be eligible for the KVPY Olympiad exam.

Note: Scholarship will only be available after completing the 12th standard only if the student is pursuing the B.Sc., B.S., B.Stat., B.Math., Int. M.Sc., or Int. MS courses.

Eligibility Criteria for SX

Students from the 12th standard come under this category. To apply for the KVPY Olympiad exam under this category, students must have scored 75% if they are general and 65% if they come under SC/ST/PWD category.

Note: Scholarship will only be availed if the student is pursuing B.Sc., B.S., B.Stat., B.Math., Int. M.Sc., or Int. MS courses.

Eligibility Criteria for SB

Students who are currently studying in the first year of undergraduate come under this category.

The criteria for the KVPY exam form under SB are given below.

• The student must be pursuing his/her studies in the subjects of basic science like B.Sc., B.S., B.Stat., B.Math., Int. M.Sc., or Int. MS.
• Students must have a minimum of 60% marks in the 12th exam if they come under the general category.
• Students must have a minimum of 50% marks in the 12th exam if they come under the SC/ST/PWD category.

Note: Students will get the scholarship only if they score 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) in the 1st year of graduation.

Steps to Fill KVPY Form 2024-24

Students must have fulfilled all the criteria given above to get registered for the KVPY Olympiad exams.

Given below is the registration process for KVPY 2024-24.

• Students have to go to the applications page of the KVPY official website.
• Now students will see the notification with instructions, fees, and payment methods.
• Students have to log in to the portal, which will then be redirected to the registration page.
• Fill in all the required details such as the student's name, class, stream, date of birth, mobile number, email id, etc.
• Students have to fill in details along with the captcha and then submit them to create their profile.
• The students have to log in again to fill in the required details and the examination center preference.
• Students then have to upload all required documents.
• A preview of the application form will be shown. Students have to make sure that they have given all the details correctly, as they cannot be changed later.
• The fee for the KVPY application form 2024-24 must be paid online. Candidates can make the payment via credit card, debit card, or net banking.
• Once the KVPY form 2024-24 has been remitted, they can check the updated status of the KVPY registration after logging in.
• The profile will show your submission status as "Under Review." If you have cleared all the eligibility criteria, then your application will be accepted.
