UPSC CDS 1 Recruitment 2023 will be done as per the course that is chosen in an application and performance in the SSB interview along with the marks scored in the written exam, the aspirants will be assigned duties in the Army. Payscale, allowances, and facilities available that apply to the respective posts should be considered by the candidates attempting UPSC CDS 2 Examination.

UPSC CDS 1 2023 Recruitment

Generally, 61 varieties of facilities, benefits, and allowances are offered to the Army in general on average. After the 6th and 7th pay commission, the pay scale offered initially will be increased. UPSC CDS 2023 Service Conditions & Career Prospects as Per Course

Indian Military Academy, Dehradun: Candidates selected will undergo a course of training for about 18 months.

  • Posting: Army officers are liable to serve anywhere in India and abroad.
  • Promotion: The following are the service limits for the grant promotion to higher ranks:

Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala: Candidates that are selected will undergo training in the Graduate Cadet Special Entry Scheme (GSES) Course.

Officer's Training Academy, Chennai: Candidates selected will undergo a course of training at the Officers’ Training Academy, for an approximate period of 49 weeks.

  • Probation: The probationary period for an Officer is 6 months from the date they receive their commission.
  • Posting: Personnel granted Short Service Commission is liable to serve anywhere in India and abroad on selected appointments as decided by IHQ MOD (Army) from time to time.
  • Promotion: The male and female candidates in the Short Service Commission will be eligible for promotion as under:
