RRB Group D 2023 Eligibility
The recruitment board has set up various parameters for the eligibility criteria for RRB Group D 2023 exam. The aspirants must refer to the information given below and ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria before applying for RRB Group D 2023 examination.
RRB Group D 2023 Revised Eligibility Criteria
As per the notice, EWS certificate issued after the date of notification will also be considered valid on the date of document verification. Based on the performance of candidates in CBT subject to their qualifying in PET, the number of candidates to be called for Document Verification (DV) shall henceforth be equal to the number of notified vacancies
The conducting body revised the eligibility requirements for future RRB Group D exam applicants. The latest requirements for a candidate to be eligible are as follows.
- The candidate must have passed class X and have the National Apprentice Certificate (NAC) or have passed ITI to be eligible for the technical departments.
RRB Group D 2023 Nationality
All interested candidates should be-
- an Indian citizen, or
- a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee (who came to India before January 01, 1962, with the intention of settling in India permanently).
RRB Group D 2023 Educational Qualification
- The candidate should be have passed Class X, or ITI from any institution recognized by NCVT/ SCVT/ or Equivalent, or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT. If the candidate has completed Diploma/ Engineering, the application will not be accepted.
- Candidates who are awaiting their final examination result cannot apply for RRB Group D 2023.
RRB Group D 2023 Age Limit
The age of the candidate must be between 18 to 33 years, to be eligible for the exam. RRB Group D age relaxations given to several reserved categories are given below.

The candidates who qualify RRB Group D 2023 Computer-Based Test 2 will be summoned for the Physical Efficiency Test. It is mandatory for the candidates to qualify the PET exam, however, the marks obtained will not be counted for the final selection.

As opposed to the earlier process of calling candidates post PET, which was 1.05 times the vacancies available based on merit and options, the number of candidates qualifying will be equal to the number of vacancies.

RRB Group D 2023 Recruitment
The Railway Recruitment Board has withdrawn the major changes related to the recruitment stage of the exam and introduced new criteria for the single exam. The exam will be conducted in a single stage as a computer-based test. The other changes include the following.
- The certificates submitted by the candidates belonging to the EWS category after the date of notification will be considered valid.
- The marks scored by the candidates will be normalized by the percentile-based method.
- The candidates will be called for a document verification process based on their qualification for PET, in the ratio of 1:1.
- The RRB/ RRC have the right to consider the candidates in the merit list based on their merit and option if a shortfall in the empanelment occurs.
- If a tie occurs between two candidates who scored the same percentile after normalization, the older candidate will be given a higher merit position. If the age of the candidates is the same, the candidate whose name appears first in alphabetical order will be placed at the higher merit.
The candidates will be evaluated in two stages.
- Stage 1 - Computer Based Test (CBT) 1
- Stage 2 - Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The next stages involve Document Verification and Medical Examination.
The candidates who belong to OBC have to submit Non-Creamy Layer certificate.
