LIC AAO Eligibility 2023: The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has set certain criteria for the candidates to be eligible to appear for the LIC AAO exam. If the candidates do not satisfy or qualify for these criteria, then they are not eligible for the exam. 

LIC AAO Eligibility 2023

The LIC AAO Eligibility is set on the basis of educational qualification, age limit, nationality, and other factors as discussed below. It is important for all the candidates to go through the criteria before registering for the LIC AAO application form 2023. The LIC AAO Eligibility is as of Jan 7, 2023.

Nationality 

  • The applicant should be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

  • The candidate’s age must be between 21 years and 30 years as of March 1, 2023.
  • There will be relaxation for the candidates who belong to the reserved category.

Upper Age Relaxation

The upper age relaxation for each category is tabulated below.

Educational Qualification

The educational qualifications required vary for different posts. The candidates can go through the following table to make sure they apply for the correct post for the LIC AAO exam based on their qualifications.

AAO (IT)
  • Graduation degree of Engineering in Computer Science/ IT/ Electronics, or an MC/ MSC (Computer Science) from a recognized Indian university/institution
AAO (CA)
  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Indian university/ institution.
  • Must have passed the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and completed articles as presented by ICAI.
  • The candidate should also be an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
  • Candidates must provide their membership number and it will be verified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
AAO (ACTUARIAL)
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian university/institution.
  • Should have compulsorily passed paper CT1 and CT5 plus 4 or more other papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. (Total 6 or more papers) as on the date of eligibility i.e. March 01, 2023.
  • Candidates must provide the membership number and it will be verified with the Institute of
    Actuaries of India/ Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK
AAO (RAJBHASHA)
  • Post-graduate master’s degree in Hindi/Hindi translation with English as one of the subjects at bachelor’s degree level, or
  • Post-graduate master’s degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at bachelor’s degree level, or
  • Post-graduate master’s degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at bachelor’s degree
AAO (Legal)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or LLM from a recognized
    Indian university/institution.
  • Candidates must have three years of Bar experience as essential criteria.

Note: A master's degree or higher degree is not compulsory for applying except for the LIC AAO 2023 Rajbhasha post.
