The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the School Teacher Appointment Competitive Examination (Primary School, Classes 1–5) results. In combined General and Urdu courses, a total of 70,450 candidates were declared successful.

According to the chairman of the BPSC, "The delay in the result was caused by pending results of CTET, among other factors, such as mistakes made by candidates in their OMR sheets, such as incorrect roll numbers, wrong series, incorrect subject combinations, and also due to the incorrect submission of certificates".
In the BPSC AAO Mains written exam, 363 candidates qualified for the exam. Among the qualified candidates from the unreserved category, 137 candidates, 37 from EWS, from SC and ST categories were 55 candidates, and 5 qualified for the exam.

BPSC Tie Breaking 2024 Criteria
The commission will compile a provisional merit list of successful candidates based on the overall marks of the written test but excluding language marks, i.e. the marks of the remaining 120 questions. If the aforementioned total marks are equal, the marks from the selected subject's main section part 3, i.e. the last 80 questions, will be utilised as the first tie-breaker.
If the marks after tie-breaker-1 are equal, the marks achieved in the language part in the second tie-breaker will be utilised to determine the teacher of Classes 1-5. The last rule will be a preference for the candidate's age and name according to the alphabet in the Devanagari script.

BPSC Official Statements
The Chairman of the BPSC has previously tweeted about the release of BPSC 2024 cut off marks. He further stated that if the positions remain unfilled as a result of this filtering, they will be filled through one or more supplemental results.
"When dealing with such large numbers as in TRE, multi-layer filtering is required to weed out undeserving ones," he writes in his tweet. This is what's going on, which is why all outcomes are conditional. Any vacancies created by this filtering will be filled by one or more additional results."
