APPSC Group 1 2025 Mains Exam Date is out! The phase 2 exam will be held on May 3-9, 2025. The admit card for the same will be released in the third week of April 2025. The applicants are advised to enter their login details, i.e., registration number and date of birth to access it. The answer key will be released for the phase 2 exam in the third week of May.

The APPSC Group 1 Prelims Exam was held on Mar 17, 2025. The admit card for this was out on Mar 10, 2024. The APPSC Group 1 exam is the highest-ranked exam conducted by the APPSC to recruit the second line of officers in the state of Andhra Pradesh, who are second only to the IAS officers posted in the state. About the APPSC Group 1 Exam

APPSC Exam stands for the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission Examination. The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) was formed on 1 November 1956. The APPSC was formerly named the Andhra Service Commission, which was initially based on the regulations of the Madras Public Service Commission.

In 2014, according to the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, the APPSC was divided into two separate bodies - the APPSC for Andhra Pradesh and the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) for the Telangana State.

APPSC Group 1 2025 Application Form

The APPSC Group 1 2025 form was released on Jan 1, 2024, and was available until Jan 28, 2024. The mode of application is online. The preference for exam centres will be available on a first-come-first-serve.

How to apply for the APPSC Group 1 Exam?

To access the APPSC Group 1 2025 exam application form, the candidates are required to have an OTPR ID. Candidates who do not have and OTPR ID can follow these steps as mentioned below to generate their OTPR IDs:

• Step 1: Candidates must visit the official website of the APPSC.
• Step 2: They must click on "Modify OTPR ID"
• Step 3: Now they need to click on "New Registration"
• Step 4: Fill in all the details required in the next window.
• Step 5: Upload an image or a scanned copy of your recent passport-sized photograph, of file size not more than 50 KB in the JPEG format, with dimensions - 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm
• Step 6: Upload a scanned copy of your signature, of file size not more than 30 KB in the JPEG format, with dimensions - 3.5 cm X 1.5 cm
• Step 7: Tick on the checkbox for declaration of the details provided
• Step 8: Preview and check all the details you have provided
• Step 9: Submit the OTPR form
• Step 10: An OTPR ID will be sent through an email to your registered email id, and through an SMS to your registered mobile number.

APPSC Group 1 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The official notification released by the APPSC Group 1 2025 Services states that "a candidate must be of sound health, active habits and free from any bodily defect or infirmity rendering him/her unfit for the services." Also, the character and the previous records of the candidate must be such that render him eligible for the APPSC Group 1 2025 Services. Above all this, the candidates must be Citizens of India.

APPSC Group 1 Educational Qualification

The essential educational qualification required to apply for the APPSC Group 1 2025 Exam is a Bachelor's Degree from any UGC-recognized University. Some of the post-wise educational requirements of the candidates are mentioned in the following table:

APPSC Group 1 Physical Requirements

APPSC Group 1 admit card 2025 fo the Mains paper will be issued by the Commission in the third week of April 2025. The prelims exam admit card was out on Mar 10, 2025. The commission releases the admit card approximately one week before the date of the exam, separately each for the Prelims exam and the Mains exam. APPSC Group 1 2025 Exam Centres

Exam Centres for the APPSC Group 1 Prelims Exam

The APPSC Group 1 2025 Mains exam is a Pen-Paper-Based written exam. APPSC Group 1 Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The APPSC Group 1 2025 exam has three stages of evaluation, namely the Prelims Examination or the Screening Test, the Mains Examination, and the Interview Round. APPSC Group 1 Prelims Exam Pattern

The APPSC Group 1 2025 Prelims is an objective-type exam. It is conducted online through a computer-based test. The Prelims acts only as a screening test for the APPSC Group 1 2025 Mains exam; therefore, the marks secured in the Prelims will not be considered while preparing the final merit list.

• The APPSC Group 1 2025 Prelims consists of 2 objective-type question papers.
• Each paper contains 120 questions.
• Each question carries one mark.
• The duration of each paper is 2 hours (120 minutes).
• Negative Marking
  For each wrong answer, ⅓ of the total marks of the question will be deducted. It means that three wrong answers will cost a candidate one right answer. Therefore, candidates must carefully answer the questions, avoiding any guesswork.

APPSC Group 1 Mains Exam Pattern

APPSC 2025 Group 1 Mains Exam is the test that evaluates a candidate's thorough knowledge and deep understanding of the domains that are required for such public administrative posts as offered by APPSC 2025 Group 1 Service. The marks secured in the Mains exam go into the calculation of the final result, on which the merit list is prepared.

APPSC 2025 Group 1 Mains is a descriptive-type exam. The candidates are required to write conventional essay-type answers to the questions. The APPSC has changed the exam pattern for the APPSC 2025 Group 1 exam. It has introduced a new Paper on Polity and Constitution, which will be regarded as Paper III. Previously, there was a single combined paper on History and Constitution, and hence the total number of papers in the APPSC 2025 Group 1 Mains exam was 6. But now the total number of papers for the APPSC 2025 Group 1 Mains exam is 7.
