Diploma in Photography Eligibility Criteria:

A candidate willing to pursue a Diploma in Photography should hold a 10+2 or even class 10 pass certificate with a minimum of 50% aggregate score from a recognized board. A candidate clearing any equivalent exam from a recognized university too can apply.

Apart from basic eligibility, the candidate should also appear for national /university level examinations such as Delhi School of photography Entrance test, Indira Gandhi National Open University Entrance test, Tamil Nadu open university entrance exam, etc which will determine candidate’s proficiency and technical ability required to pursue this course. Based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam combined with scores obtained in the 10th or 12th board exams, the university will release a rank list, based on which students are called for a counselling session.

There is also a relaxation of 5% in the total aggregate marks in the 10th class i.e  45% marks are enough for the SC/ST category candidates.

Some Universities provide admissions via direct method/ management quota, which is based on skills possessed and marks obtained in 10+2 public exams. They’re selected based upon the skills they possess.
