MBA [Master of Business Administration] Details

VGSOM MBA is a 2-year postgraduate course in management offered by the institute. The VGSOM MBA courses are offered in 2 formats- MBA and Executive MBA. Out of these, the MBA is a residential full-time course, and the EMBA is a part-time course with classes only on weekends.

VGSOM MBA admission is based on a valid CAT. International students are required to submit valid GMAT scores through international relations at IIT Kharagpur. CAT 2023 was concluded on November 26, 2023.

VGSOM MBA Eligibility Criteria

VGSOM MBA eligibility criteria require a 4 year-graduation degree in engineering, medicine, pharmacy, or equivalent field with 60% (55% for SC/ST students) from a recognized university. Students from the fields of science, commerce, and economics must have a master's degree with 60% and must have studied Maths and Statistics in their 12th and graduation.

VGSOM MBA Admission

Students seeking VGSOM MBA admission 2023 must take the CAT exam and submit their results as part of the application procedure. Based on the scores of CAT, selected students would be called for interviews. The final merit list is created on the basis of CAT scores, interview results, prior academic accomplishments, professional experience, and gender diversity.

Students who have completed their undergraduate degree programs and are awaiting results may also apply, given that they have cleared the qualifying exam. Candidates' cumulative grades up to a pre-final year, where the percentage should be at least as mentioned above under certain criteria, may influence whether they are allowed to participate in the interview.
