Infrastructure

An area of 14 acres of land in the University Campus constitutes The University College of Engineering. It includes the instructional area, laboratories, computer and informatics centre, library, workshops, administrative offices, hostels, one each for the boys and girls with a capacity of 400 each, a swimming pool and landscapes with an approximate cost of Rs. 25 crores extending over a total building area of more than 32,000 sq. meters. The workshops which have already been constructed are equipped with the modern and latest equipment. The College aims to provide all other modern amenities and teaching aids in its academic area such as library, informatics centre, class rooms, seminar rooms etc. and as well as in both the hostels.
The main building of the college is a towering 9 storey structure due to be completed within a few months. With floors connected through a lift system the college is proposed to be centrally air conditioned. When fully complete it shall harbour spacious lecture halls, faculty rooms and labs.

Hostels

University College of Engineering has two 7 floored , ultra modern residential hostels, separate for Boys and Girls. It has ground plus Seven floors providing accommodation to about 392 students. The ground floor of the hostel has warden's residence, common rooms, guest rooms, mess and laundry. Each subsequent floor has 28 cubical rooms which are single seats and 14 dormitories, with each dormitory accommodating 2 students. The hostel is provided with elevators, anti-fix facility, RO purified water and round the clock security for the residents. Each hostel building is one of the four similar hostel blocks, of which the remaining will come up in the near future.
