The Faculty of Education was established with an aim to impart quality teacher education for grooming patriotic and law abiding citizens to shape the destiny of the nation. It was strongly felt that there is need for exploring possibilities to provide education to the increasing number of students who aspire to get higher education. To prepare professionally competent teachers, B.Ed. program was started in the year 2003, and upon getting overwhelming response from the students and the people around, Master of Education (M.Ed.) was introduced in the year 2006.
The institute is committed to nurture, motivate and empower the prospective teachers who will serve as beacon lights for posterity to accept the challenges of life. They will not only be source of inspiration but will also encourage like-minded scholars of other disciplines and educators to contribute in the field of education.
A specially designed program of English Communication has been added to the curriculum to facilitate and strengthen the teaching efficiency and employability skill of the students. It will improve and sharpen their teaching skills and make them well conversant with bilingual approach to match with current needs of quality education at par with global standards.
The institute has a team of qualified, competent and experienced faculty, who have developed themselves as academic advisors, facilitators and mentors and vouch for the interest of the pupil teachers by identifying their talent and strengths. They are also involved in writing and presenting research papers on education and social issues. They participate in seminars and conferences and many of their papers have been published in the national journals of repute. Various value added lectures on ethics, personality development and moral codes by eminent educationists are also organized.
The major strength of the institution is exhibited in consistently achieving 100 percent result and placement of the pupil teachers. We have resolved to play a pivotal role in improving standard of education.

At Teerthanker Mahaveer University, believe that the meritorious students should be rewarded and should not be left out of the main stream in their quest for higher education. Scholarships at the university are provided to the outstanding students. Thus, to recognize talent of meritorious and needy students, the university has provision of scholarships, medals, awards and certificates. Regulations governing these scholarships/awards can be amended from time to time.
