• Candidates must be Graduate from any recognised University/ Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes).
• Candidates have too undergo PI-WAT (Personal Interaction - Written Ability Test)
• Academic fee for International Students is INR 455000/- per annum and INR 10000/- as institute deposit.
• The administrative fee for International Students is INR 40,000.
• Moreover, this degree will be awarded at the end of semester IV examination by taking into consideration the performance of all semester examinations after obtaining a minimum of 4.00 CGPA out of 10 CGPA.
• Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply on scoring a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes).
• A candidate who has completed qualifying qualification from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
• The hostel fee mentioned above for the 1st year also includes the fee for mess fee.
• 50% concession to be given only to the Foreign National students on Administrative Fees.

Objective:

• The objective of the course is to understand the shortfalls and importance of various domains that come under International Relations.
• The domain incorporates economics, law, defence, regional and global governance in the international community.
• The seat intake has been limited to 30 seats.

Eligibility for International Students:

• The candidate who applies as a Foreign National must hold a foreign passport.
• The applicant who has a Person of Indian Origin card is eligible to apply via PIO selections.
• For NRI category the student is eligible to apply as a Non-Resident Indian (NRI) if he/she has appeared for the 10+2 examination (equivalent to the Indian 12th) or Graduation outside India. It is mandatory for one of the two qualifying examinations to be given outside India.

Sanctioned Intakes:

• The SC category students are given 15% while the IT and Differently-abled applicants are given 7.5% and 3% respectively.
• The Kashmiri Immigrants are given 2 seats over and above the sanctioned intake.

• PG Merit Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to meritorious students of SSIS, Pune. 

• Sports Scholarship: It is awarded to the athletes who are committed to combining their sport and education. SIU awards five sports scholarships of INR 24000/-each to the students who have participated at Intervarsity /National/International or state level tournaments. 

• Late Jayatee Deshmukh Award: Gold Medal is awarded to the best outgoing girl student at the time of Convocation every year.

• Contributions from Indian National: Contributions/Endowments are invested and the earning are used as per donor’s wishes

• NER Scholarship for Students from North-East Region: This institute offers scholarships to NER students so that they get an opportunity to benefit from the high-quality educational programs of SIU.
