The Placement Cell is dedicated to advising students on career options and providing the latest information on summer training opportunities and employment vacancies. Being an integral part of the ‘Counseling Services’, the placement cell in addition to individual counseling, will run seminars and group sessions covering career choices, interview skill, group sessions covering career choices, interview skills, group discussion skills preparing and drafting job application.
A major thrust of the Placement Services is constantly liaison with the business and industries to update prospective employers of the skill levels of the students and secure commitments for campus placements. The SDCE assists students securing positions among leading national corporations as well as providing contacts for jobs or higher education.
In addition to provide up-to-date career information, employment trends, salary statistics developing, job search techniques, co-ordinating on-campus recruitment, the placement cell shall maintain list of part-time jobs and summer/vacation employment opportunities in order to encourage investigation and comparisons of the relationship between theoretical concepts and organizational practice.
