Suren Das College is situated at a distance of 30 minutes car drive from Gauhati University. It has got a beautiful scenic view being surrounded by the river Lokhaitara (local name of river Puthimari), Dhoparguri Sattra(a religious or cultural centre established by great vaisnavite Saint Madhavadeva) and the roadway connecting Barpeta and Nalbari from the capital city Guwahati.

Library:

well-equipped digitalized library with book bank issue facility available at working hours to the students. The college has more than 12,000 comprehensive books with 13 national and international journals available for access by students covering areas such as English, history, social science and Assamese. The College also rewards the best reader for the students to develop reading habits among the students.
