St. Thomas College Palai was established in 1950. is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by NAAC. It is also affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in science, arts and commerce. Admission to the courses is solely based on the scores obtained in the entrance examination conducted by the institute.
