St. Joseph University, Dimapur was established in 2016 under the Nagaland State Government Act no. 6. The University is recognized by UGC and is approved by AICTE. The University Is located in the city of Dimapur, Nagaland. It was started by the DMI Foundations [Daughters of Mary Immaculate] and is built on 33 acres of green land.
