I got my admission on the basis of my CET marks. The college atmosphere is nice. The infrastructure of my department ie: Civil is really well done. The labs have all the latest machines which help the students to learn in the best way possible. The staff is really helpful and friendly. The various teams in college are competitive in a healthy way. Many activities take place on the campus every year.

  • Generally, at Sinhgad Academy of Engineering seats are allocated through CAP allotment done by DTE. If you are from Maharashtra then MHT CET can get you through. I got my admission in 2014 through national level seats (yes, there are seats that are filled on a national level) but you need to get good AIR in JEE MAIN.
  • Above 150 in MHT CET should get you an admit. On JEE MAIN side, try to be in top 1,50,000 students merit list.
  • In 2014 cutoff was above 100 marks in JEE MAIN.

For getting admission in this college we have to either give CET or else we can get admission through JEE MAIN also. College provides all necessary facilities for students. Teachers are also good. The college has a good separate hostel and mess facility for girls and boys. There is 4 canteen on campus. Many cultural and tectonic events are organized.

Eligibility criteria are the same as admission through DTE, minimum 50 percent marks in PCM and good CET score if you want admission through DTE free of donation. Typical cutoff varies depending on the category for open you can expect 80 in last round. Infrastructure is excellent. Teaching and other facilities are also good. It's a good college overall.

If you are 12th passed and took the MHT CET entrance exam then you are eligible for admission in SAOE and the cutoff of SAOE is about 75-85 out of 150 (MHT CET). You can also get admissions through JEE MAIN but its quite difficult for outside Maharashtra students to get admissions through JEE MAIN, So I would suggest that you opt for MHT CET.

Eligibility criteria for the first year through 12th on the basis of CET and 12th Board examination marks. DTE conduct CAP rounds through which admissions can be taken for the first year. DTE also conducts admissions for direct second year engineering through CAP rounds on the basis of Diploma aggregate marks.

The eligibility to apply for engineering is that you need to have at least 50% aggregate in 12th standard with PCM. Admission procedure is done through CAP allotment process. The cut-off for Mechanical Engineering in SAE Kondhwa was 82 percentile when I took admission in 2015. After that, it has increased.
