Sikkim Government College, East Sikkim Cutoff Details

Academics & Faculty : I mostly have a two-hour class. One hour each. But it takes almost a whole day. I have one class at 9:00 am and the other is at 2:00 pm, there is a gap in between. Teaching is overall fine. But the college experience is worst ever.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : It was 70%+ to get an adnission without any intrance exam. The students possessing COI had relaxation though. Their cutoffs were 60%+ for a B.sc course.

Placements & Internships : So far there has come only one job placement and that was from the Indigo airlines. For ground steward. That is a worse condition of the top government college in the state. I think there have to be more convenient placements for students and from better backgrounds.

Fees & Scholarships : Regarding the fees. It's good to share that the state government has provided free education to all the COI holders and for non-COIs too. It should be around INR 1K per semester which does not cover the books expenses and mess fee. But here too. They are eagerly waiting to suck money out of students.. They ask us to fill up INR 300 for admission purpose and that it would be refunded but only a hoax. They've never done that so far.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are two hostel facilities.boy's and girls.though I am a day scholar. The hostel facilities too are not that good. Food is drastic. Too much corruption I think but the students are living. The cafeteria is expensive as hell. 

Clubs & Associations : Life in college is drastically bad boring and annoying. No proper administration. No support to students. Education is business to these authorities. They don't really care about the student's future.
