SOIL Institute of Management, Gurgaon has SOIL Career Services [SCS] which is dedicated to providing assistance and guidance to prepare the students for the recruitment process. SCS has two major academies - Career Services Academy [CSA] and Career Learning Academy [CLA].

Career Management Services at the SOIL Institute of Management is not about getting a job, it’s about bringing out the best in the students. The placement cell is their partner in career planning, readiness, and placements. Transforming students career dream into real actionable goals is the main focus of the careers team. Over the past 12 years, SOIL has made significant progress identifying the talents out of our students and finding both recruiters and our students a possible win-win situation.

The careers team at SOIL conducts events round the year to engage, train and develop students employability through various on & off-campus events. These events are designed in a way for students to get real-time exposure to placement processes, corporate life and beyond. These events also provide a great opportunity for students to interact with global thought leaders, industry leaders and SOIL alumni and learn about their life and their journey. SOIL Internships

For many of the PGDM students, Summer Internships is the first real-time work experience they have. Summer Internships will allow them to apply the skills and lessons learned in a classroom in the real world of business. It also provides an opportunity for students to work in their preferred sector and identify their fit and the work environment in that sector.

Mandatory internships take place between term 3 and term 4 breaks, commencing immediately and guiding PGDM students through early placement preparations, facilitated by SOIL's Career Development Team.The internship process is given below.

• The CMS team identifies the student interest areas in terms of their previous industry and domain knowledge.
• Students go through a series of activities that prepares them to be recruitment ready, CV writing, mock interviews, group discussion, and dressing etiquette networking
• The careers team rolls out the Job Description profile for the upcoming placements processes.
• Students can apply to the company after analysing their interest areas with the job requirements and apply through the career online portal.
• The pre-interview rounds generally consist of Group Discussions, Written ability tests or psychometric tests. These vary according to the company and students will be notified of the requirements from their end.
• The final interview round is usually multiple rounds on technical, business and leadership abilities. The offer results will be announced by the Careers Team.
• After the completion of the summer internships, students are mandatorily required to submit a project report and participate in a project presentation session. Without this step, the internships would be considered not complete.
