RV College of Physiotherapy was established in the year 2003. It offers both undergraduate and Postgraduate, MPT courses which are affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. RV College of Physiotherapy trains students to become skilful, knowledgeable, Competent, Self – assured, adaptable, and service-oriented practitioners. The system of education focuses the students to perform evidence-based practice with safety measures and responsive to the interventions in an ethical, legal, safe, and effective manner.

Additionally, students are exposed to clinical postings to enhance the knowledge of clinical reasoning and develop effective communicational skills with other health care professionals. Also, students are trained to interact with patients and family members as a part of rehabilitation. Students are groomed towards participating in case presentations, teaching activities and other aspects of rehabilitation like psychosocial support for patients and their families and caregivers with recognition of individual, cultural, and economic differences.

RVCP has established a placement assistance cell to act as an interface between the college and the healthcare industry and perform an entire gamut of clinical activities such as out-postings into various corporate hospitals, NGOs, rehabilitation centres etc. to strengthen the students’ knowledge of the healthcare sector and enable them to be industry-ready while they graduate. RV College of Physiotherapy Eligibility Criteria

Different level programs have different criteria for admission at RV College of Physiotherapy, [RVCP] Bangalore. Given below are the minimum and basic eligibility criteria for each program.

RVCP Bachelor of Physiotherapy Eligibility

The duration of Bachelor of Physiotherapy is 4 ½ years, consisting of 4 years of study and 6 months of rotatory internship. The curriculum consists of various subjects pertaining to medial and physiotherapeutic studies with moral values.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates who have passed the pre-university examination (10+2 or any other equivalent examination recognized by the board with a minimum of 40% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects with English as a subject of study.
• In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST, the minimum percentage of marks shall be 35% in the qualifying subjects.

RVCP Master of Physiotherapy Eligibility

The duration of the course is 2 years. This professional course offers students evidence-based practices and recent advancement in the field of physiotherapy. Students will be knowledgeable, service-oriented, self-assured, adaptable, reflective practitioners, who by virtue of critical and integrative thinking, lifelong learning and ethical values render independent judgments concerning patient needs that are supported by scientific evidence. These practitioners will be able to contribute to society and the profession through practice, teaching, administration and the discovery and application of new knowledge about physical therapy experiences through case study and research.

• Candidates who have successfully completed BPT from UGC recognized universities.
• Candidates who have completed BPT through correspondence or distance education program are NOT eligible.

• In the Hostel Block at RV College of Physiotherapy, [RVCP] Bangalore, there are separate girls and boys hostel blocks.
• There are a total of 43 bedrooms are available each in the Girls and Boys Hostel block.
• An additional 30 bed-capacity is available in Venkatadri Hostel located about 4 kilometres from the main campus.
• A vegetarian mess providing four meals a day is attached to the hostel for students' convenience.
