INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORTATION

There are 4 hostels for boys and 2 for girls inside the PEC campus
The hostel fee is around INR 80000.
Food is good if we compare it with other colleges.
The mess is clean and tidy.
Classroom are comfortable with air-conditioning, labs are well equipped, library is quite good and the campus holds a good WiFi connection

INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORTATION

Though the college is pretty old, infrastructure is good. Metallurgy department and CSE department have been reconstructed equipped with all advanced technologies. Classrooms are sufficiently furnished and spacious. Though labs have a bit old equippment but that is also bit by bit replaced each year. Proper parking lots are alloted for students and staff vehicles seperately.Public transport is easily accessible outside the college and all markets are closeby.

HOSTELS & FOOD

On campus there are four hostels for boys while two for girls. Off campus housing options include PG and private hostels which are closeby to hostel. I reside on campus.Off campus good food is available and on campus in mess the food is average. Needs a bit improvement.

INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORTATION

Infrastructure of college is good though quite old. Library has large collection of both old and new books. However labs are not that well equipped and provided with old instruments.Wifi can be accessed in most part of the campus.College is located in the heart of city and hence all necessary facilities are available at a walking distance.

HOSTELS & FOOD

Relative to other colleges, housing is pretty ok. Though mess food is better than other colleges but needs a bit attention.

Hostel fee is expensive in PEC.
Hostels are not satisfactory.
The quality of mess and the wifi facility is good in Punjab engineering college.

Around 8 hostel are set up in the campus and is available to anyone who needs the facility. Hostel fee is INR 60000/- per semester.
PG's are good and fees is minimal per month. Food is good is affordable.

Infrastructure Facilities at Punjab Engineering College University of Technology, [PEC] Chandigarh:

Library:

The library at PEC is spread over 27000 sq. feet area.
It has two blocks interlinked between them, namely, Old Block and New Block.
The library is divided into various sections such as Circular Section, Periodical Section, Reference Section, Multimedia Section.
It also consists of Newspaper/ Magazine Section, Technical Section, Book Bank and Binding Section.

Hostel:

PEC has got separate hostel facilities for boys and girls.
There are six hostels out of which four hostels are for boys
The hostels provide various facilities like WiFi, Mess Facility, 24x7 Electricity and Water Supply, Recreation Hall and many more.

Sports Facilities:

PEC has got sports facilities for games such as Cricket, Hockey, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Lawn Tennis and Badminton.

Medical Facility:

PEC pays special attention to the health of the students.
There is a routine medical checkup for students at free of cost.
The medical facility is provided to the students as a Senior Medical Officer is being appointed with a Pharmacist and a Nurse to attend the students.
