• The candidates must have passed Master’s Degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory, regulatory body, with a minimum of 55% of marks in aggregate. Or
• They must have done M.Phil Degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7 - point scale in the M.Phil Program coursework.
• The University shall conduct a Ph.D Entrance Test, an all-India basis in which candidates must obtain a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or the minimum equivalent grade as decided by the University in the Entrance Test, to qualify for the Interview/Viva-Voce.
• The candidates who have qualified in the Entrance Test would be required to appear before an Interview Panel of the concerned Department (appointed by the Chairman, R&IC).
