Admission

PESIT-BSC was affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University(VTU) till 2018. As such, admissions were through COMED-K, KCET and management quotas.

Since 2018, it has become the sister branch of PES University, following their curriculum. Entrance Exam from 2018 onwards is PESSAT.

I applied through COMED-K, the cut-off for which ended at around 3000 air in 2015.The cut-off has drastically reduced in the following years, all the way down to ~1500 air for CSE, ISE in the following years.

The college has unaffiliated itself with VTU since 2018, joining PES University as a sister branch and is now part of its independent curriculum. The admissions procedure now follows PESSAT norms .There are two counselling rounds.

IMS Unison University, [IUU] Dehradun Management Fee Structure. The fee for my course is Rs 1,15,000 per year.

To join this prestigious college, there is an eligibility criteria that all students, after passing 12th has to go through. A student must have 70% on their 12th boards. So to get into this college all students must go through an entrance exam called "COMEDK" which is basically for non-banglorian students staying outside karnataka and for Karnataka local students they have to write KCET. Students can also join through Management KOTA where the fee structure is 4-5 lacs per annum. For every department in our college the cutoff varies. Lets say a student wants to pursue Computer science which is the top branch then he/she must posses 75% on their 12th boards. So for my course i.e Information Science the cutoff is around 70%.

  • The admission process for my college started with ComedK exam. Results usually come out with ranking for all the students for admissions in Karntaka state. Though PESIT now has its own entrance exam (known as PESSAT) other than the common entrance exam ComedK.
  • I took ComedK entrance exam in 2016 through which I got admitted into PESIT South Campus (now known as PES University, Electronic City Campus).
  • There is no specific cutoff for this exam but you will be given rankings based on which you will be attending counselling session to select your desired college in Karnataka. The selection choice is given on the basis of your ranking. The better your rank is in the exam, the better your college gets.

PESIT Bangalore South Campus (PESIT-BSC) admits students for the B.E course through two entrance examinations- CET and ComedK. I joined PESIT through the Comedk examination. The admission is purely based on merit. However, there is a percentage of seats reserved for the management category. PESIT-BSC offers the engineering course in four disciplines- Computer Science and Engineering, Information Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
