North Orissa University was started working in the year 1998. The University was included in the UGC’s list of Indian universities under 2(f) and 12(B) and accredited by NAAC with a B+ grade. The University covers an area of the northern part of Odisha that is Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts. NOU aims to pull up the youth of this region who have a lack of opportunities.

DDCE provides the on- and off-campus -Distance learning mode. Through this learning mode, students get education from Study Centers. The students may join the study center to acquire knowledge. Higher Education is provided through distance learning mode. They introduce various professional courses based on the increasing demand in the market. DDCE Admission is based on merit.
