The strength and excellence NERIST gloats on today stems from its rich history. NERIST was established in 1983 and has been providing quality education and excellent professional services in various fields of Science, Technology & Management.
The Government of India established NERIST as an endeavor to encourage a policy of vocationalisation at the 10+2 stage and motivate students to pursue studies at the degree level. The foundation stone of the Institute was set on 4th March 1984 by the former President of India, Late Giani Zail Singh.
