NDIM, or New Delhi Institute of Management, has been in existence since 1992. In spite of its long journey towards becoming one of the premiere B-schools in the country, there is still room for improvement in the placements. Students often express their dissatisfaction with the compensation offered by the companies.

Over the years, the New Delhi Institute of Management (NDIM) has apprised and invited top recruiters for the placements. However, the number of such companies is less. Although it maintains a 100% placement rate.

NDIM has been strictly a management college since the beginning. It offers only postgraduate courses in the field of management. The college has been delivering an industry-centric curriculum to meet the market demands. It has been possible to stick to such levels because of student and industry expert interactions, seminars, and conferences.

New Delhi Institute of Management regularly plans industry visits, which gives a real-time time outlook of the industry. The college also collaborates with private organisations for live projects. NDIM hosts state-of-the-art classrooms. The sports centre at NDIM might not be the most advanced, but it surely needs the recreational needs of the students.

NDIM provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The hostels are comfortably equipped with modern amenities. The hostels are available on a single and twin-sharing basis. The approximate cost for the hostel is INR 1,80,000.

Since the college is located in New Delhi, loads of paying guest options are available to choose from in the vicinity of the college. These PGs have a standard rate with the necessary facilities.

Expensive Program Fees

For the two-year MBA program, students have to pay INR 10,60,000. This surely burns a hole in the student's pockets. Although the facilities provided at the college are creditable. Students do have ample opportunities to get their investments’ worth. The admission is strictly based on the student’s scores in entrance exams.

First-Rate Placements

NDIM has been providing 100% placement since the beginning. It has apprised top recruiters for the placements. However, most of the companies do not fall into the category of top recruiters. Although, all students get placed eventually. Over 250 companies come each year to recruit. 

NDIM also helps students with internship opportunities. The students are trained thoroughly before the placements. They are given training on soft skill development, personality grooming and more. 

The complaint the students have is the salary offered. Even though it has a 100% placement rate, the salary packages offered are average. As per the students' insight on various platforms, the highest salary offered is around INR 16,00,000 - 17,00,000 per annum. The average salary offered is INR 5,00,000 per annum.

Engaging Campus Life

Students at New Delhi Institute of Management enjoy a wholesome campus life. With regular visits, interactive spaces, and recreational activities, the students have several options to keep themselves busy and engaged. They can also join a host of student-led clubs. 

Cultural events are also organised in the college. Singing, dancing, skits, and many more are arranged for the students. The club also hosts events for the freshers, teachers, and more.

NDIM draws students from all over the country. As a result of this, there is an intermixing of cultures, and students get exposure to varied diversity. Even though there are no strict dress codes or uniforms, students are expected to wear business casual inside the campus. The basic rules and regulations pertaining to a healthy environment inside the college are maintained. 

Students at the college also can enjoy and take part in various recreational activities outside of college as it is located in the capital city of India. A lot of historical places can also be visited during the students’ spare time.

Is NDIM Worth it?

New Delhi Institute of Management provides a unique ecosystem to study and nurture the minds. It is one of the very few colleges which provides one-on-one mentorship to students from the day they join the college. Industry visits, industry expert talks, and 100% placements are some of the highlights of NDIM. If money is no bar, then surely this is one of the best management colleges in India.

However, if any student wants an exceptional placement offer, then the college sits in a grey area. The students have been seen with concerns regarding the fact that the salaries offered by the companies are sub-par.
