The admission process of NIT, Calicut like other national institutes in India are based on the ranks obtained through JEE Mains. Being one of the top NITs in the country, the closing ranks of the core courses such as Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science engineering are on the higher side. Students who passed 12th standard and dropped a maximum of 2 years after their 12th are all eligible. You have to give JEE mains examination and secure a rank to get admissions in the college. Cutoff depends on the rank secured by the student typically my branch i.e. Btech engineering physics if you don't have reservations (OBC, SC, ST) you need to score a rank below 13000. In the category for those who got reservations, they need a rank around 25000 in general category.
