National Institute of Technology, [NIT-AP] Andhra Pradesh was established in the year 2015-2016. The college is the 31st institution among the chain of NITs started by the Government of India. The University is located in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Presently the Institute has its transit campuses in Sri Vasavi Engineering College and Akula Gopayya College of Engineering. The college was mentored by NIT Warangal till the year 2018.

National Institute of Technology courses includes B.Tech, M.Sc and PhD programmes. The Institute has good Placements. The new campus will be built on 172.6 acres of land adjacent to the Chennai-Kolkata highway. The institute provides an aesthetically pleasing environment and eco-friendly campus to enhance the learning process of the students. The aim and objective of the NIT Andhra Pradesh are to become a leader in providing the best technical education to its students.

Entrepreneurship and Innovation cell: The Cell aims to cultivate innovative and entrepreneurial temper among the students. The cell always lends a helping hand to the budding entrepreneurs and innovative minds. The Cell starts of identifying ideas and go towards nurturing them.

SC/ST Cell: SC/ST cell has been constituted in the National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh as per the instructions of Government of India. The Cell grievances of SC/ST students and employees and render them necessary help in solving their academic as well as administrative problems.

Training and Placement Cell: Training and Placement Section is the marketing division of the institute. It will act as an interface between the college and companies.

NIT-AP Infrastructure Facilities:

Insitute provides good infrastructure facilities.

Computer Centre: The Computer Centre of the NIT-AP was established in the year 2015. The main objective of the computer centre is, it provides a computational environment for the academic and research community of the Institute. There are three computer labs which are equipped with 70 desktops, 40 desktops, and 60 desktops. Also, the Computer Center manages the security cameras that are placed throughout the institute including both academic and hostel buildings.

Central Library: The Central Library is located at the temporary campus Sri Vasavi Engineering College Library which is an iconic building on campus. The Library is established in September 2015. It aims at the development of text and Reference books collection which required for the curriculum. The Library has 14000 volumes of books and subscribed more than 55 print journals/Magazines in all subject areas.

1. Is it possible to get admission in NIT without Jee?
   - No, It is not possible. In order to get admission in NITs, candidates should crack the JEE main exam with a valid score.

2. How are the Placements in NIT-AP?
   - The Placements are very good. Most of the students are placed in multinational companies. The average salary package is 5.80 lakhs per annum.

3. Where is the Institute situated?
