National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research, Bhopal is a unique premier institution, established in 1965 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India for teacher training and improving the quality of the entire gamut of the Technical Education System. The Institute holds expertise through continuous R&D in the areas like development. specific competencies related to new technologies, subject matter development, classroom and laboratory-based learning, industry-institute internship, management of technical institutions, personality development, entrepreneurship development, examination reforms and student assessment, learning & instructional resources development, video production and multimedia development, educational projects planning & management, community development, evaluation of programmes & projects.

In 2003, the GoI upgraded the Institute and there has been a substantial change in the mandate enabling it to cross the regional boundaries and function as a national level resource institution. It has geared itself with the updated resources and infrastructure to support the overgrowing demand of bringing quality in technical education through strategic support and networking with the other centers of excellence. NITTTR, Bhopal has an excellent track record of introducing several new innovations in technical education and has successfully implemented several time-bound and professionally challenging projects for a varied clientele. In the nineties, the Institute has successfully served the client states in implementing the highly acclaimed and successful World Bank Assisted Projects viz. Tech. Ed. I, II and III on ‘Strengthening the Technician Education System.’ The Institute has also been providing need-based customized support by conducting training programs for TEQIP institutes under phases I, II and III. NITTTR Bhopal has been involved in the implementation of many national initiatives.

In the recent past NITTTR, Bhopal has been involved in offering MOOCs courses through the SWAYAM platform. The Institute has been identified under the Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching as the Teaching Learning Centre (TLC) in Vocational Education Training & Entrepreneurship Development. NITTTR Bhopal has also been selected as National Resource Centre (NRC) for Assessment & Evaluation in ARPIT Scheme. The institution has taken a lead in the design and implementation of AICTE’s National Initiative for Technical Teacher Training (NITTT) and National Mentoring Mission of National Education Policy-2020 by conducting the initial Orientation Training Programmes for Mentors. Looking at the present need, the institute has also been conducting webinar series and online Programmes. In pursuit of excellence, NITTTR Bhopal has transformed itself over the years. NITTTR enjoys the status of a World-Class Institute in the area of Human Resource Development. National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research Infrastructure:

The college offers various facilities such as a library, auditorium, Media Research and Development Centre, hostel, guest house, laboratories, workshops, etc. The Library has a collection of over 40,000 books, which includes, textbooks, reference books and a fine collection of books on Hindi Literature and Language. The Magazines and Newspaper Section includes popular Magazines and Newspapers both in English and Hindi. Since online Information Resources are very important for academic and research institutes in today's knowledge economy. The library provides its users access to electronic journals. In addition to this, the Library provides access to e-books. The air-conditioned Reading Hall provides a peaceful environment for encouraging to study.

The college auditorium with a seating capacity of over 200 people is present for conducting seminars, conferences, lectures etc. The Media Research and Development Centre organizes short-term programs, workshops, online courses, certification programs, extending professional services to the community, industries, society and stakeholders. The college provides hostel facilities for staff and trainees enrolled in short term programs with all the necessary basic requirements. Each department in the institution has separate laboratories assigned. All the labs are equipped with the latest instruments and equipment, experimental setups, prototypes etc. The college provides some other facilities such as Wi-Fi, medical centres, projectors, staff quarters, community centers and many more.

National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research Admission:

The college admits prospective students through merit only. The candidates interested to apply to any among the offered courses can refer to the brief admission process in the following,

• The applicants have to register themselves by providing a valid email address and a mobile number.
• These details cannot be changed later so the candidates are advised to carefully fill the registration login.
• After registering the candidates shall log in using the credentials sent to the mobile number or the email address.
• The candidates can then start filling up the application form.
• The application form will have fields for filling in the personal details, educational qualifications and other important fields.
• The applicants will then be asked to upload their photograph and signature.
• The applicants can then select the degree for which they are applying followed by the department of their interest.
• This step is followed by the application preview where the applicant shall make changes till this point or even start over again. Once the applicant pays the application fee and submits the form no changes can be made further.
• If all the information is correct the candidate can then proceed with the payment of the application fee. Payment can be done using credit card/ debit card /net banking.
• Candidates can then print the completed application form and fee receipt for future reference.
