Nandha College of Nursing Infrastructure: Library, Gym, Auditorium, Cafeteria & Other Facilities

Complete, hygienic and fully furnished hostel is provided by the management for both gents and ladies separately. The rooms are safe, secure, clean and airy. Students enjoy delicious, quality and homely vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Menu is prepared to satisfy the taste of all students. Their stay in the hostel enables them to imbibe a different life style and involve in activities such as yoga, meditation, sports, music etc., suiting to their individual taste and preferences.

Lab Facilities :-

Fundamentals Of Nursing Lab

It is equipped with 15 beds including cardiac bed, fracture bed and IV Arm manikin, Blood transfusion manikin 30 sets of all items needed for nursing procedure practice It has 5 dummies and one CPR dummy for student’s practice of various procedures. It is well ventilated with adequate lighting and provides facilities for practice of 25 students at a time. The lab has hand washing facilities and separate area for teaching. The lab has adequate furniture, equipments like wheel chairs, stretchers, swedon suction apparatus and so on for facilities procedure practice.             

Obstetrics And Gynecology Lab

It has got delivery tables, manikins and all essential instruments used in maternity practice. There is a separate area for number of charts, models, specimens, depicting growth feotus and other areas of maternity. There are two delivery cots with all assembly. There is separate areas for new born care.

Child Health Nursing Lab

It has got 5 paediatric cots, 3 cradles, 2 adolescent Cots, CPR manikin, Ostomy care manikins, artificial feeding manikin and equipped with all necessary furniture’s and articles needed for practice. There is separate area for teaching neonatal Assessment, baby bath, growth and development, play therapy area and has got other facilities like laminated Roller charts models like – Road to health & warmer, incubator, photo therapy, neonatal ICU, Congenital disorders, embryonic developments and growth and development of infant also.       

Community Health Nursing Lab

It is equipped with all furniture, equipments, adequate AV Aids for health education like, Puppets, Roller Lamination charts ,models like water purification, village models , flash cards, Flannel graph CD- DVD Players with TV and 40 community bags. As well as each student is provided with fully equipped community bags for facilitating individual learning.          

Anatomy And Physiology Lab

There are three whole body skeletons and plenty of loose bones, specimens, models of all body systems and  laminated illustration charts for the easy learning.

Nutrition Lab

It has separate area for preparation, cooking and display of food. It has got gas connection, Refrigerator, washing facilities, storage room, pressure cookers, mixie, microwave oven which will be used during cooking demonstration, and charts of all food groups and food pyramid.

A.V. Aids Lab

This is fully equipped with LCD TV, 15 OHP 2 LCD projectors, Slide projectors, DVD Player, and all other AV AIDS models.

Computer Lab

Computer Lab is too large to accommodate 35 computers for the students and faculty usage.

Library

Central Library The College library has an enviable record of maintaining 1:10 student library book ratio. It has a spacious area of around 2000 Sq.Ft with a seating capacity of 60 at a time. The library is designed to house 6000 books, over 50 –e- journals and 12 national and international journals subscriptions. The institutions also subscribed to 10 newspapers. Depending upon the requirement the library working hours is stretched to sixteen hours a day. Apart provision of sectional library in each post graduate department, and it comprises of reading rooms for the faculty, facilities for photocopying, data processing and internal browsing with latest edition of books to provide congenial atmosphere for learning.

Hostel

• Hostel facilities for Boys and girls with 24 hrs security warden ,water purifier, Invertors and  water cooler all  are available in the hostel campus.
• It’s well ventilated, Specious Room, Separate furniture’s and Cot provided for each students.

Cafeteria

Food For The Body And Mind (Canteen)

Most people fondly remember their college canteen as one of their life's high points. It is the place where they keep  their creative juices flowing with hot discussions, chewing ideas, exchanging and sharing strongly held opinions.

Great care is taken by the kitchen staff to assemble a Well-balanced nutritious and tasty food that in turn will fuel the student’s quest towards success. Students enjoy their food in  aesthetic and appetizing atmosphere. Frequently, the discussions get animated as a student’s pet theory is challenged and legs are pulled playfully.

The canteen is the lifeblood of the students. For students and teachers alike, the canteen is a welcome break from the routine of lessons. The homely atmosphere and aroma of delicious food permeates the air as they eat, drink and chat. It remains a focal place of the students for rest and refreshment.

ATM

To facilitate the banking facility for the students and staff members, we have a branch of Indian Bank functioning inside our campus.

• To make banking easier for the  students, 24 hours ATM facility has been provided inside the premises of the college.
• Money transactions between the parents and their children are carried out with full of ease.
• Hostel students lead their life with full of comfortable zone.

Transportation

The students are  privileged to have transport facilities which enable them to reach all areas of clinical posting. The faculty also have pickup drop facilities between the college and their residence.

In all the semesters, the observational visits of students to various organizations are arranged as per the requirements prescribed by Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. University and INC.  The Students are also permitted once in a year to the place of interest suggested by the students.
