  • Sports happen once in a year, cultural activities happen every month and management activites take place every two months.

  • Hostel is very near to college, therefore no problem of travelling and expenses. yearly they charge 1.4lakh for 2 sharing. Pg and separate room would be a better option than hostel as per my experince.
  • Quality of food in college is ok. But you can get more quality in RIT campus which is also near to college.
  • Classroom quality is good, have proper audiovisual, library you can get as many books you want, but on a lighter note very few study from library books as they have huge contents than required.

  • Daily routine is from 9am to 5.15pm. sometimes it may be till 3.15pm or 6.15pm is the maximum which is rare. Assignments would be given at proper time and you will be given enough time to submit it. Exams are at every 4 months of new sem and midterm after 2months of start of new sem.
  • Quality of teaching is quite good
  • Overall experience I would say is really good in teaching.

  • Ramaiah institute of management has always been known for its placements. They concentrate mostly on the placements which is more important rather than internships which anyhow you would get.
  • Key companies for finance field are Goldman sachs, Deloitte, honeywell and many reputed ones.
  • For operations background ITC comes every year.
  • for marketting, armstrong, icici, hdfc, hffc, naukri.com etc
  • The highest package is around 17.5 lakhs. lowest is 4lakhs, average is around 5lakhs. More than 96% is the campus hiring every year.
  • Institute has a great contact with its alumni, every year we have a alumni session for creating future enthusiasm.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

M.S Ramaiah institute of management is one of the best b-schools in bangalore. It has maintained its ranking since its inception. Starting from eligibility criteria as following

  • You need to give any of the entrance exams like CAT, MAT, KMAT, etc.
  • I gave MAT exam, it was easy to score in online MAT above 500.
  • The eligibility criteria for mat is atleast above 500 for MAT and above 70 percentile for CAT

Most of the wednesdays, club activities are held post lunch and there are various clubs available for students to join & take part in.

The college hold it's annual fest 'Perceptions' every year usually in the month of February.

College life is pretty okay, students have to wear the provided uniform on all days except Fridays. Boys are not allowed to keep beards except for religious reasons.

Hostel facility is provided and there are plenty of PGs outside the campus too. The food provided in the canteen is satisfactory and costs between 40 - 60rs per meal. The quality of infrastructure is prety good and Wi-Fi is available in the college building. Parking is available in the basement but is chargeable at Rs 10 per day.

The class timings are long. 9am to 5:15pm if your are from sections A, B & C. Section D has timings of 10am to 6:15pm usually. Sometimes it can be 9am to 6:15pm for all sections. Most of the saturdays are half days (9am to 1:15pm).

The quality and method of teaching is one of the best in Bangalore management colleges.

My course fee (2019-21 batch) is 3.75 Lakhs per year. It has been increased to 4 Lakhs per year for the 2020-2021 batch.

There are no scholaships provided but the college has a tie up with few bans to make the loan process easier if required.

You have to do an internship for 8 weeks as a part of your course after your 2nd semester exams. The key companies that visit the campus every year are Deloitte, HDFC, CEAT, Byju's, Mahindra, ICICI, EY, Amazon and many more.

As of 10th March 2020, 92% of students have been placed. The highest CTC offered was 17.3 LPA and a average of 4.85 LPA.

The Alumni network in the college is really good with frequent Alumni meets and seminars.


Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

The eligibility requirements when I joined was scores of entrance exams such as MAT/ CAT/ CMAT and the certificate of your graduation degree. The admission process was submitting your documents and attending a personal interview. If all goes well, you will be informed of your selection and asked to pay a sum of around 50,000 which will be included in the total course fee.

I had attempted the MAT exam and got selected through it. 

The cutoff was a minimum of 550 marks in MAT and 60% in CAT examinations.

If we talk about clubs, there are 4 types of clubs in our colleges which depend on specialization like Marketing Club Finance Class, Finance club, HR club.

Main Festival is Ramaiah HABBA. And in this Ramaiah Habba, everyone is given an equal chance to show their talent and many kinds of cultural dance and songs are organized as well.

Ramaiya Institute of Management College comes under the Ramaiya Group which is a very large group.  Due to which the facility of the hospital is very good and very high.

If we talk about hostel costs, for girls it is INR 1.5 lakh per annum and for boys, it is INR 1.6 lakh

The quality of the food in the hostel is very good and if we talk about WiFi and internet facilities then this whole campus WiFi-enabled and we have a very good collection of books in our library and we have a digital library too.

The method of teaching and quality of education of the teacher is very good in our college where the teacher in the college mostly teaches us through the PPTs.

The overall experience in the college is good.

The MSRIM is one of the top B schools among India and you need to satisfy some criteria to get admission in it.

Admission to this college is possible through several exams like CAT, MAT, CMAT.

You need to get a minimum of 60% and then they will shortlist you for the interview round which will mostly through Skype calling.

The college life here is quite interesting. There are lots of opportunities to expore oneself and showcase the hidden talent. Ethinic day and sports day is also celebrated here. It also conducts a three day management fest called Perception. The alumni network is strong.

RIM is located at the prime location of the area. It is accessible to the market places. College has its separate hostel for boys and girls that includes fooding, laundry, cleaning and other facilities. The hostel costs around 1.5 lacs p.a. The timing of the college is 9-5. The infrastructure of the college is good and the campus is huge. the classrooms are good and spacious. The college has a library that has collection from different reknowned writers. This college trains the students as per the corporate requirement. Assignments, presentations, tests are conducted time to time. The teachers are quite friendly and encouraging. The college provides with lots of learning opportunities.

So life in MSRIM is pretty challenging. Not in a negative point of view but in challenges with other students in academic, co-curricular activities, competitions & many more. But students of MSRIM love to face those challenges every day. There are every stream societies like finance club, marketing club, operations club, treasury club, HR club, cultural club. Students can join any societies & take part in different activities assigned by the heads. Every year college organise management fest called 'PERCEPTION' which encourage students from a different college to participate & competes between others. It mostly consists of different activities which help students to become a better manager in future.

Talking about college infrastructure, our college is in Ramaiah University campus which is an education hub. They have the best infrastructure in that locality. Yes, they provide hostel facilities, but it's outside the college campus area. They provide free wifi, food & lodging. As I don't live in the hostel so just don't have knowledge about hostel life but heard it's pretty good for boys & as well as girls. 

yes, there are many PG's around the college which provide good rooms & food also. apart from it, there are many independent flats which can be rented by students who want to live independently. 

Food in college is well & affordable. Mostly they serve South Indian dishes, Chinese, fast foods.

So talking about the daily routine, class hours starts from 9:00 A.M. & ends at 5:15 P.M. The only holiday is on Sunday & sometimes Saturday as half day. The teaching faculty is really good & they give their best to provide good education to students. students like me who are introverts are converted into extroverts. There are 4 semesters in PGDM course & each semester consist of external & internal exams. In external exams, there are midterm & end term exams which held on mid & end on each semester. And in internal exams, there are the class test, presentations, group discussions, role play, management game.  

In my experiences, it's the best college which helps us to come out of our shells & help us to master our skills, attitude, personality & way of living in the corperate world.

And the faculties of the institute are highly educated and experienced in the field of corporates and know in and out about the management. The fees structure of the course is 7.25 Lacs which includes all the expenses for the 2 years including uniforms, Laptop, Study materials, and books. There are scholarships provided to students on a merit basis based on the marks secured in entrance exams and the marks secured in under graduation. on an average, every batch near about 10 students gets a scholarship. And there is financial aid is available for the students who want to get their course funded. Ramaiah college has come in partnership with Vijaya Bank for providing financial services to the students from the campus itself. So they have a branch situated in the campus.
