Placements & Internships : Internships can be compiled in the college itself are as per the student wish. Our college is associated with IBM,Vodafone,airtel,TATA,Mahindra,AircelEMC,Cisco networking,Here maps etc. & professional bodies like CSI,IEEE,IETE,AICTE. The alumni network is distributed worldwide like in America,Germany,UAE,Australia etc. We do have an alumni meet on various occasions in the campus & they shower their experiences & guidance to us.

Academics & Faculty : On the outskirts of state Jammu & Kashmir lies my college Model Institute of Engineering & Technology which falls under Jammu province &is addressed at Kot Bhalwal Jammu. It's the top-ranked & NAAC Accredited engineering college in Jammu which falls under the affliction of Jammu University. The college has good infrastructure and recently renewed,introducing Civil stream in the course.The classwork commences from 9:30 am to 3:50pm with each lecture duration of 50 minutes.An activity class is also assigned in between the curriculum. Reviewing the faculty,I must say that my college has got a good faculty membership.They are helpful most of the time.Yeah, I did say most of the time because we aren't children anymore.Joining a college builds up our start to professional life,so you do have some responsible part on yourself.We do get enough time here for interactions with foreign professors via guest lectures,seminars & tactical workshops,performed by reputed company associates. I myself belong to Information Technology stream & we have received a good outcome since now. Moreover,the projects do comply during the starting of the 2nd year of our degree (officially)but the higher administration encourages us to perform as soon as we join the college.They do provide necessary tech. for the projects. Every semester we have a session with the Joint Director which comprises of 5 students independently to acknowledge the working of our studies & changes if any. Now let's go forth to academic fees. The fees are paid for the entire yearly schedule and comprise of normal academic fee(justified by Jammu University) & miscellaneous fee which amounts a roundoff Rs.50000 -55000. The placement drive is also established for the students of the 4th year,starting from the 7th semester and there have been a good number of placements till now comprising of 400 alumni across the globe. Well, let's flash a little on the environment. The environment in MIET is quite good,surrounded by trees & we do have gardens and a playground with sports club & host an MPL(MIET Premier League).The atmosphere is ravishing with friendly colleagues & yes anti-ragging campus too.Seniors are helpful and advisable.They do conduct an interactive class for personality presentations. Fees & Scholarships : As mentioned earlier,the course fee is per annum & comprises of academic along with miscellaneous charges round off to Rs. 50000-55000 INR. Yeah,scholarships are available under the government schemes like merit-cum-means or MOMA.Students just have to get bonafide from the college administration block & while applying for the scholarship,the college authorities will verify the duo. The scholarship is approved by government authorities itself so if a student poses fake,is canceled.And the rest do get benefitted.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There is only girls hostel facility available and transport services also comply to the hostels. Every student(non-resident) almost prefers PG facility or just rent basis with self-service & are quite affordable at Rs 3000 to 5000 per month with good market availability. The campus is wifi connected.We can easily just access the computers in labs or connect just by our own device. Also, the library has got a vast number of books collection ranging from Indian to foreign authors.The library fee is refundable at the end session of last year.

Clubs & Associations : As I mentioned earlier,we have a friendly environment & do have club sessions organised by senior students. The sports field gets the football,volleyball,tennis & obviously cricket(MPL). The college holds a fest every year & tremendous activities are complied including games,poetry,photography,racing,quiz,dance,singing etc. A student can organise his own event or participate according to his interest with exciting prizes. Many popular personalities are invited to the fest to enhance its charm & also the most important is DJ night with top class musicians.Previously the college fest was made extraordinary by Sunburn musician band. Also every year a boot camp is organised for every semester at catnip hills for thrilling activities of the programme ISurvive.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for admission in MIET falls under JKCET ,entrance test. You have to pass this exam with good points to be assigned to a college of your choice(if seats vacant) during counseling rounds. The cutoff points in engineering course were down to 1 mark.Still, you have to study hard exceptionally.
