Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad or MANUU, is one of the few universities in India which offers courses in the Urdu language. Established in 1988, the university has earned a reputation for its faculties and academic excellence. Students who wish to get admission are focused on gaining relevant industry-based knowledge to excel in their professional careers. This also talks about the quality of updated academics at MANUU.

Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad, can be both a boon and a curse. While it is rare for a university to offer its courses in Urdu. The Maulana Azad National Urdu University's library is well-stocked. There are good medical facilities, a canteen, and cafeterias on campus. Although there is a variety of food available in the canteen, the students have often raised concerns over the quality of the same. There are other facilities inside the campus, such as convenience stores, transportation gyms, auditoriums, etc., that make the student's life more enjoyable.

When it comes to sports, students are actively encouraged to participate in it. The campus houses numerous sports facilities like a badminton court, cricket ground, athletic ground and many more.

Comfortable Hostels 

MANUU provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The rooms consist of all the basic facilities like bed, study table, chair, etc. The life of students at the hostel is full of entertainment. The hostel even has a separate magazine and celebrates various events. The hostel fees are also super affordable, although seats are limited. 

Low Salary Packages Offered 

Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad, holds a comprehensive placement record. Many top companies visit the campus annually for placements. Because of the good academics, students are highly skilled. Hence, the demand is greater. The placement cell is in charge of looking after the proper functioning of the placements.

They also conduct regular soft skills training, resume-building sessions, and other training necessary to increase the employability of the students. That being said, the salary offered to the students is not up to the mark. The median package for B.Tech is INR 4,00,000 LPA, while for M.Tech is 7,00,000 LPA. This needs to be increased and negotiated from the university's side to improve it.

Jovial Campus Life

MANUU offers a cheerful campus life. Various events are held all around the year to keep the students entertained. There is a lot of diversity that can be seen among the students as it attracts students from various parts of the country. 

The university is pretty strict about its rules and regulations. Students are to abide by the rules and 75% attendance policy. Even though there is no dress code or uniforms, students are expected to dress modestly inside the campus. Various clubs organized events related to the student's interests to keep them engaged. These also include multiple sports events.

Is MANUU Worth it?

MANUU offers excellent opportunities in terms of academics and faculties. Being a central university, students get ample exposure to updated technologies and syllabi. They also get to interact with a diverse set of students, which ensures a healthy exchange of ideas among them. Overall, even though it primarily offers courses in Urdu language, it is excellent for the students for their career opportunities.
