Established in 1941 by Rai Bahadur Bansidhar Dhandhania, Marwari College is located in Bhagalpur. It is the first Commerce teaching institute of Bihar. It is a constituent unit of Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University. Marwari College is also one of the oldest study centers of IGNOU in Bihar. Much emphasis is laid on laboratory work, field trips, social activities, and all-over personality development of the students.

The College offers an intermediate level to undergraduate level courses in science, arts, and commerce. Marwari College, Bhagalpur Admission is purely based on merit and the performance in the entrance test conducted by the University. Marwari College is maintaining its march of excellence way ahead of other institutions of the University with over 21 departments of all the three faculties [Arts, Science, and Commerce]. The placement cell exposes the students to industrial environments and assists them in finding the right job.

The College is accredited 'A' grade by NACC and also recognized by UGC. It provides state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities like the library, auditorium, etc. Extracurricular activities like games, sports, fine arts, music, and drama are also part of the curriculum. • Admissions to various programs at Marwari College are purely on the basis of marks/counseling as per the University/ State Government rules.
• Admission request without submission of the application form is not entertained. No application will be accepted after the notified date.
• An eligible candidate can apply to the college on a prescribed application form available from the college sales counter. 
• The filled application form needs to be submitted to the college office.
• Selected candidates shall have to appear in counseling.
• Seats for various caste categories i.e OBC, EBC, SC & ST are reserved as per the rule of the state government.
• To avail, the seat under reservation quota candidate needs to submit a caste certificate.
