About the Bihar Agricultural University

Bihar Agricultural University is an autonomous institute under Bihar state government and was established in 2010, under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).The University is situated at Sabour, Bhagalpur.The university's area of operation comprises 25 districts of Bihar and the University aims at conducting research on farmer problems and transfer of technology under its extension mandate. The University has an excellent campus with all the modern facilities and is accredited by the UGC.

Eligibility Criteria at Bihar Agricultural University

• Candidates must secure 50% in their Higher Secondary Examination in order to apply at the University
  
• For postgraduate courses, the candidate must secure a minimum of 50% in their Higher Secondary Examination as well as the undergraduate course they have pursued prior to the course they wish to pursue presently
  
• SC/ST students must secure 45% in their Higher Secondary Examination in order to apply at the University

 Admission Procedure at Bihar Agricultural University 

Undergraduate Programme:

• Candidates for admission to different Bachelor’s Degree Programme of this University shall be selected through Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination conducted each year by the Govt. of Bihar for 85% of the seat. For 15% of the seat, selection would be made by All India Entrance Examination conducted by ICAR.

Postgraduate Programme:

• Admission in Master’s Degree programme is made through a Competitive Test conducted by the University by calculating the marks of Entrance-cum-academic performance in the following manner:

(i)	Entrance	80%
(ii)	Under-graduate	10%
(iii)	12th Standard	5%
(iv)	10th Standard	5%
