Computer and Internet

The college is having more than 900 terminals of latest configurations and all are connected through fiber optic cable laid to interlink departments’ computer centers, college office. All latest soft wares are made available in all the departments. The open access to 16 Mbps internet is part of an extensive information network connecting the campus.

Hostel

MEC has separate hostels for boys and girls in the campus itself with a range of rooms and a variety of services that make the inmates to feel as if they are at their homes. Each hostel is assigned with a Deputy Warden who acts as a friend, philosopher and guide to the inmates. The architecturally designed buildings and the surroundings render breezy, green and pleasant and conducive atmosphere for learning.

Canteen

A modern canteen that can cater to 350 students at a time is available on campus. 
Knowing the importance of a cafeteria, a modern cafeteria has been raised which provides our students as well as our staff members, including visitors a delicious, hygienic food at affordable cost. The cafeteria easily accommodates the ever growing student population and it is the perfect spot for a sustaining snack in the middle of hectic schedule in the pursuit of knowledge.

Students' Counsellor

A full-time student counselor counsels students on their juvenile delinquency and other adolescent distractions and enables the students to focus on academic and co-curricular activities throughout the studies.

Stationary center

A students' stationary center is functioning in the campus to cater to all the daily needs of the students.

Library

MEC has an excellent library that houses over 38,550 volumes of Technical, Humanities and Sciences and its related fields and subscriptions to over 266 National and International journals. The titles and volumes in all the fields are constantly updated as per the recommendations given by the library committee. Newspapers, weekly and fortnightly magazines of repute are subscribed to enable the students to keep abreast of day-to-day activities.

Fitness Centre Minimize

Sound mind can prevail only in sound body. Bearing it in mind, a well equipped 8 station Gymnasium with latest facilities related to body building and fitness training has been established. It is made well use of by the hostellers and also by day scholars.

STD and Local Call

Our college provides STD and Local Call facilities for both hostellers and day scholars to be in touch with their parents and relatives.

Wifi Connectivity

Our College has a high-speed WiFi connectivity for every block. Both UG and PG Students make use of the facility and benefit from round the clock internet connectivity. Both the hostels (Boys and Girls) have uninterrupted access to the internet. This facilitates and accelerates the research progress of the R&D cell as well, as students get all the information related to their projects in no time. Faculties who pursue their Ph.D and post doctoral research do benefit from the WiFi Connectivity on campus.

Transport

The Institution operates a fleet of 30 buses for the students and staff to commute comfortably from various towns in our vicinity viz Puducherry, Villupuram, Tindivanam, , Cuddalore, Panruti, Ulunderpet ,Gingee and Thiruvennainallur . Our booming transport facilities ensure that our students and staff are able to reach the college in time with utmost ease.   Separate bus facility is also provided to the students and members of faculty who want to spend their time in utilizing library, sports and computer lab after regular college hours.
