Karnataka State Open University, [KSOU] is situated at the North-Western end of the Manasagangotri campus, Mysore. The university is known for its excellent academic and administrative infrastructure. The KSOU Mysore infrastructure facilitates and ensures that students can study the courses of their choice through distance.  Library: The KSOU Mysore library creates the most dynamic learning environment with a collection of over 50,000 books. It promotes innovative research using technologies that strive to create the most robust learning environment. The university library provides seamless access to ever-growing knowledge and information using the latest technologies. The main objective of the library is to provide access to the digitalisation of valuable books using DSpace open space source. Some of the other facilities offered at the library are:

Hostel: The KSOU Mysore hostel provides well-furnished rooms to both boys and girls with accommodation for 56 students at a time. The hostel's environment is represented so that it promotes balance among all residents. In addition, there are lodging facilities in the hostel for the students who come for the coaching classes. Accommodation service is available on a first come-first served basis. 

Cottages for Men: The KSOU has 9 cottages which consist of three rooms for boys. In each cottage, nine students can stay. These cottages are for the students who come to Mysore for the examination and contact programmes.  

Cafeteria: The KSOU Mysore canteen serves the best food to the students. It provides great service to the students who come to Karnataka State Open University office premises. The canteen is well known for its best quality, hygienic, and delicious food at an affordable price.

Medical Centre: The KSOU Mysore has a health centre to attend to the urgent and immediate needs of the students. The OPD facility is available along with the regular doctor. 

Guest Room: The KSOU Mysore facilities include a guest room located northwest of the university campus. It has spacious and hygienic accommodations, modern facilities, and a good ambience. The guest house is just 5 minutes walk from the academic block. It has well-furnished 75 rooms along with the VIP, VVIP suites and other amenities. The guest house also provides service to resource persons, experts, academicians, councillors, and participating managers. 

Bank Facility: The KSOU Mysore has State Bank of India with its ATM facilities on the campus. 

IT Infrastructure: The campus is also equipped with excellent IT Infrastructure for the students. 

Laboratories: KSOU Mysore has fully furnished departmental-based laboratories for the students to enhance their technical skills.
