J.D Birla Institute (JDBI) Admission

JD Birla Institute is a private institution established in 1962 affiliated to Jadavpur University. The college has also received accreditation from NAAC ‘A’ grade in 2010. The college was named after Smt. Jawahari Devi Birla. College is situated in the old city of Kolkata. The college provides education in the field of Science and Commerce. In 1997, the Department of Commerce was started under the college.

JD Birla Institute Application Form

JD Birla College Application form is available offline as well as online. Students need to fill out the application form and submit it before the last day of submission.

Documents required to be submitted along with Application Form:

  • Any recognized Photo ID of the candidate
  • 12 passport-sized (3.5 cm X 4.5 cm) coloured photographs (not in school uniform)
  • Birth certificate or Class-X admit card
  • Class-X pass certificate 
  • Class-X mark sheet

  • All supporting documents for any formal training in performing or visual arts and /or sports and /or participation in the same at regional / state /national/international levels.

JD Birla Institute Undergraduate Admission 2022

JD Birla College accepts students for BSc(Honours) based on marks in the qualifying exam and followed by an aptitude test and personal interview. For admission in BCom, group discussion is conducted. Admission is given to girls only.

JD Birla Postgraduate Admission 2022

MSc, MCom and PG Diploma are postgraduate courses which are offered by JD Birla Institute to the students. Admission is done on the basis of merit in the graduation and also followed by personal interview and gd rounds for the different specialisation of the course.

JD Birla Postgraduate Eligibility

Students interested in admission in postgraduate degrees of the college should have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum aggregate of 55%. For admission in  MCom students should have a bachelor’s degree in BCom from Jadavpur University with a minimum of 55% aggregate.

Any student with minimum 70% marks in 4 main subjects in boards exams can apply with English as a compulsory subject. The student must be good at spoken English.The admission procedure is quite simple.u can apply online and if they like ur application they will call for an interview and if u get through it ur name would appear in the merit list.There are no such entrance exams except for interview.

You firstly need to register yourself before the board's results are out. Then after registering, the college holds an interview and verifies all the documents after the results are out. There's no such entrance test that is required. The cut-off varies. As results as well as the interview matters.
