Clubs & Associations : There are quite a lot of student societies sharing common interests. There are various clubs like literature and debate club, photography club, sports club, cultural club. etc Spandan is the biggest and main cultural and sports fest of JIPMER and a pride for all JIPMERites.There are various other smaller fests.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There's a Hostel Complex with a sufficient number of hostels say around 3 for boys and 2 for girls with a common facility building having a common mess, gym There are rooms outside for rent but it'll cost you around INR 10-15 thousand per month. Coming to food it's same as any other hostel food. Not so great but ok to survive. There are around 3 mess facilities with the price varying from 2100 to 2850 per month. Classrooms and labs are awesome. The library is one of its own kind. There's high-speed WiFi in hostels but they are planning on putting it to entire campus soon.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility Criteria for entering JIPMER- Should have qualified in JIPMER entrance exam with age not less than 16 years with pre-university exams passed. JIPMER Entrance exam is an online test for entering JIPMER. Kind of easy compared to AIIMS but that itself creates very high competition. The exam is for 200 marks, Cut offs vary from year to year being around 160 for UR category

Placements & Internships : M.B.B.S for 4.5 years and then a 1-year compulsory internship for which they pay around INR 18 thousand per month. After internship people start preparing for PG entrance test after which if they get admission go into different colleges based on their interest. Central Government institutes pay around INR 70,000 per month for a PG resident.

Academics & Faculty : Classes start from 8'o clock in morning and continue till 4.30 pm in evening with a lunch recess from 1 pm to 2 pm. Teaching is excellent.
