Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology Admission

The institute is fully residential with an integrated campus 179 acres of land encompassing hostel, staff quarter and a sprawling playground (Dr. M.P. Mishra memorial stadium) with basketball, volleyball and badminton. There are eight departments well equipped with highly qualified faculties and adequately equipped laboratories. With a span of three decades, the institute has grown up to the National level academically. This is the first government college in the state to have accreditation from NBA (AICTE) because of its academic excellence. 

Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, which was established in the year 1982, by the government of odisha, is located Sarang. Students can apply for admission online and can get admission through eligibility criteria competitive entrance examinations. Candidates should clear JEE entrance examination or OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Exam) to apply for B.Tech and B.Arch. On the other hand, a candidate should have GATE rank card or must have clear the entrance test prescribed by the college to apply for M.Tech. The candidates must pass OJEE/CET by the university to apply for MCA. For Diploma courses students has to Diploma Entrance Test by the institute. Candidates applying for the Ph.D course must have to attend entrance and interview by the university.

Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology Admission Fees

The admission fees structure of some courses are mentioned here. The total fee for B.Tech is at INR 33,400, the total fee for M.Tech is at INR 33,400 and the total fee for MCA is at INR 33,400. Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology Entrance Test 

Candidates have to appear for JEE (Joint Entrance Test) and OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Test) and requires a successful attempt for admission. For masters, diploma and other courses interview will be taken by college officials.

OJEE admit card online downloading procedure:

  • The name of the paper, date, time and venue of the exams will be mentioned in the admit card.
  • Candidates can contact OJEE office (0674-655245) in case of misprinted information.
  • OJEE 2022 was successfully rescheduled from May 12 to June 8 and 9, 2022.
  • This exam is held for admission and lateral entry to undergraduate, masters and diploma courses.

JEE admit card online downloading procedure:

  • Admit cards will be available from December 6, 2019 for the January session.
  • To paper patterns of all three papers, Numeric value questions have been added. There will be no negative marking in case of wrong answers or unattempted questions.
  • Instead of 2 papers, the exam will be conducted in 3 papers and there will be separate paper for B.E/B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Planning.
  • Sample question of B.Planning has been released by NTA.
  • Top 2,50,000 JEE Main Test makers will be eligible to sit for JEE Advanced 2022.
  • Candidates having commerce and arts background are also eligible to sit for JEE main B.Planning paper. The  candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with Mathematics as a compulsory subjects.

IGIT B.Tech and B.Arch Admission 2022

Different courses like civil engineering, Electrical engineering, Metallurgical and materials, Chemical engineering, electronics and telecom and production engineering. The admission for these courses are through OJEE and JEE exams.

IGIT B.Tech & B.Arch Eligibility

The candidate have to complete 10+2 examination or equivalent from a recognized board of education in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Any technical vocational subjects like can be optional subjects.

IGIT M.Tech and MCA Admission 2022

There are specialization courses for M.Tech offered by IGIT such as Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Security, Electronics and Telecom, etc. The candidate should pass 10+2 examination or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and English as a compulsory subject from a recognised board of examination.
