Eligibility criteria for B.Tech:

  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 from the Madhya Pradesh Secondary Board or any equivalent exam from a recognised board.
  • They must have secured a minimum aggregate of 45% of marks (SC/ST candidates the criteria is 40%).
  • They must have studied Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects with Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/Computer Science as the optional subjects in their 10+2.
  • The candidates must be residents of MP and must fulfil the domicile requirements of MP as specified.
  • The candidates are required to clear the JEE Main exam, which is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Admission Process for B.Tech:

  • The MP BE Merit list for the first round of counselling will be announced by the DTE Madhya Pradesh.
  • The merit list has been decided on the basis of the JEE Main merit ranks and the selected choices of the candidates.
  • The merit list will be separate for each category. 
  • The Seat Allotment shall be announced online.
  • Candidates have to log in to check their seat allotment, download their call letters and report to the allotted colleges at the specified time to complete their admission formalities.
  • Candidates may also apply for up-gradation after confirming their seats.
  • It may be noted that counselling will be held for applicants who have filled the application forms on the basis of their JEE Main ranks.
  • Vacant seats will be available to candidates applying on the basis of the marks obtained in their qualifying exam.

I am 3rd-year student at Indira Gandhi Engineering College, Sagar. The students who have passed 12th examinations from physics, chemistry and mathematics are eligible to give the entrance exam for admission in this college. Joint Entrance Exam (JEE MAIN) is the entrance exam for admission. The students who give this entrance exam are eligible for counselling and according to the rank in the exam, colleges are allotted. There are five branches in my college for b.tech, electrical, mechanical, civil, information technology and electronics & communications engineering. There are guest faculty in my college who are not much experienced but moderate. After allotment of the college, the student has to come to college before the date that was given in allotment letter and complete the admission process.

Indira Gandhi Engineering college is at Sagar Madhya Pradesh it is the out of 7 Government Engineering College of Madhya Pradesh and it is one of the most important college of Engineering in Madhya Pradesh it has several branches of Engineering such as information technology civil engineering mechanical engineering electrical engineering. But the Indira Gandhi Engineering College has some campus problem for the placement it does not get many more campus what this problem will be short outed very soon.

Eligibility criteria was - * student should be 12th pass out. * should have given the jee mains examination. * would be selected on the basis of online counseling. * i was selected on 3rd online counseling conducted on basis of my jee main exams score. I have been selected for admission on basis of joint entrance examination (JEE MAINS) results. Typical cutoff for my course was around 40 marks out of 360 in JEE Mains examination
