Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management, Gwalior, was established in 1983 under the guidance of the Ministry Of Tourism [MOT], Govt of India. The institute provides education, training, research and consultancy in the sustainable management of tourism, travel and other allied sectors. The management of the Institute is entrusted in the hands of the Board of Governors, having the Union Minister for Tourism as its Chairperson. The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has also entrusted the IITTM to conduct regional-level guide training programs for all the country's regions.

IITTM offers various specializations in undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in tourism and allied service. Admissions in IITTM to various courses can be made online/offline. The eligible candidates will be shortlisted considering their score in the entrance examination. The institute will conduct a Written-test, group discussion, and Personal Interview as the next steps for the selection of candidates.
