The Indian institute of Soil Science (ICAR-IISS) was established on 16th April, 1988 at Bhopal with a mandate of “Enhancing Soil Productivity with Minimum Environmental Degradation”. To accomplish the mandate of the institute, it has given the priority to soil health related issues faced by farmers and other stakeholders.
Located in the heart of Madhya Pradesh i.e. Bhopal, Indian Institute of Soil Science is a premier research institute in Soil science and related studies. It is equipped with requisite facilities and equipments to conduct any or all kinds of analytical research work on soil science. The institute is dedicatedly involved in innovating new and reformative methods to enhance soil productivity in India with least environmental destruction.
Indian Institute of Soil Science has opened the doors to numerous researchers and scientists so that they can dynamically working on bringing new technologies in soil science, which can be conducive to Indian agriculture and farming.
