IISc Bangalore Scholarship Details

IISc Bangalore offers scholarships and financial assistance to the students who fulfil the specific criteria which the University board has set. These scholarships are offered to ensure that deserving students pursue their education without any trouble. The details of the IISc Bangalore scholarships have been provided below.

• Scholarships and fellowships are awarded to students as soon as they enter the institute. The monthly value of the scholarship or fellowship for students enrolled in various Institute programs is listed below.

• All students who enrol in the institute (save for M Sc and M.Mgt programs) are eligible for CSIR UGC, DBT, ICMR, MHRD, AICTE, DAE (NBHM), DST scholarships or fellowships, depending on their method of entrance. Students must transmit the joining report to the appropriate authorities to activate their scholarship as soon as they join the institute.
• Deserving students can apply for scholarships from GE/ INFOSYS/ IBM/ HP/ TATA/ PHILIPS/ BELL LAB/ MICROSOFT/ Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DietY).
• IISc Bangalore scholarships are available for a maximum of two years in the M.Tech, M Des, M. Tech (Res) program and five years in the PhD program. Students who enrol in M.Tech, M Des programs automatically agree to and guarantee that they will not drop out in the middle of the program. Students must reimburse the whole scholarship drawn by them before leaving the IISc Bangalore if they are forced to leave the course midway owing to an unforeseen reason or situation.
• Indian Institute of Science Bangalore scholarships and fellowships are not available to students paid by their employers or sponsors.
• Scholarships are not available to students enrolled in M.Sc. or M.Mgt. programs.
