Classrooms

• IIM Ranchi campus has an academic block that comprises six beautiful classrooms with modern facilities.
• Computers, contemporary sound systems, OHPs, projectors, and other audio-visual instruments are available in the classrooms. Wi-Fi is available throughout the academic block.
• To make the classroom atmosphere favourable to study, the classrooms have ergonomically designed furniture, beautiful lighting, climate control systems, and pleasant decor.
• IIM Ranchi is one of the few institutes globally with a fully wireless campus.

Hostel

• IIM Ranchi hostel is located on the outskirts of the city. The campus consists of separate hostels for boys and girls.
• The cool, calm, pleasant weather, the abundance of greenery, and the proximity to the city create a colourful and vibrant ambiance ideal for student life.
• The hostel comprises three and four-bedroom shared flats that are well-furnished, serviced, and equipped with five-star amenities.
• Each block has a mess, an IIM Ranchi canteen open about 20 hours a day on average, and a dispensary for medical issues.
• IIM Ranchi infrastructure features a common announcement system placed on each floor of the building.

Security

• IIM Ranchi facilities include the safety of students. 
• The institute has established a VIP security system for students. 
• IIM Ranchi infrastructure features a student block with a common entrance guarded by four armed guards. No one is allowed to enter without proper credentials. 
• Each block has two guards on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Only students, staff, and other institute personnel can enter the college.

Flat

• IIM Ranchi campus area has flats with three or four bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchenette. All rooms are single occupancy and equipped with an intercom, voice, and data ports for the telephone, campus LAN, and the internet.
• There are additional housekeeping services available.

Common Room

• IIM Ranchi facility includes a common area that serves as a gathering place for students to hold informal meetings, mingle, and relax.
• There are two indoor game rooms, a fully equipped music room, a fitness centre, and an informal meeting area.

Library

• The library provides a large number of books and online learning courses.
• The IIM Ranchi library is “Athenaeum – The Learning Resource Center”. It is a state-of-the-art library with a mixed print and electronic formats collection, including 3,356 books, 22 print periodicals, 36 e-resources, 43,00,000 + e-books, 372 CDs/ DVDs, 17,000 e-journals, 17,00,000 + e-dissertations and theses.
• The VTLS virtual library management software, connected with RFID Technology, automates library activities and services.
• IIM Ranchi Library assists the academic community through its hybrid collections by providing resources for the latest management and related topics. 

Information Technology

• Various server applications, including IIM Ranchi's Academic Information System (AIS), Anti-Virus Server, and other Academic Software, are hosted on 5 Rack Mounted Servers and 3 Blade Servers.
• IIM Ranchi facilities include a specialised Network Firewall that handles Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Web & Application Filtering, Gateway Anti-spam checks, etc. Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Linux Enterprise licenses are installed on all servers.
• Faculty and staff can use independent desktops with network and printing capabilities to conduct daily activities.
• The IIM Ranchi infrastructure has Wi-Fi and wired LAN (100 Mbps 1:1 internet) by Railtel that help provide round-the-clock access to network resources.
• The main office provides internet access for the hostel block using a fibre optic line with radio frequency (RF) redundancy.

Computer Lab

• IIM Ranchi campus provides a video conferencing facility for staff discussions, placement activities, HR recruitment, management meetings, etc.
• The computer lab can accommodate 40 students, where they can use academic software for educational purposes.
• The IIMR hostel in Khelgaon also has a computer centre accommodating 25 students.
