'HIMT was established in 1998 by a Merchant Navy Chief Engineer. Applicants seeking admission in the Maritime Institute are required to fill an online application form. They will also have to appear for IMU-CET conducted at the university level. Apart from this, they will also need to pay an application fee of INR 1,000 either through Netbanking or Demand Draft in favor of “HIMT COLLEGE” payable at Chennai. The candidates who will clear the entrance exam are called for Psychometric Test, Medical Examination followed by Panel Interview and Pre-Sea Training.
