Academic Scholarship

• Academic Scholarships are offered in all courses based on the candidate's merit in the qualifying examination.
• The scholarship bracket allocated at admission remains fixed throughout the course duration.
• To avail of the scholarship in each semester, a minimum CGPA of 7.0 is required.
• If a candidate fails to score a 7.0 CGPA or above in any semester, the scholarship won't apply for that specific semester. However, it can be reinstated if they achieve the required CGPA in subsequent semesters.
• The amount of Academic Scholarship is clearly mentioned in the fee structure and remains constant for the entire course duration.
• Other scholarships and concessions are available, but they are separate from the Academic Scholarship and are detailed in the Fee Structures for respective courses.

Fee Concession for Female Candidates

• 10% Fee Concession for Female Candidates
• Empowering females in various disciplines is a key goal of the Scholarship structure.
• An additional 10% scholarship is provided to female candidates across all courses on the Net Tuition Fee.
• The scholarship is applicable to candidates irrespective of whether they are availing Academic Scholarship or not.

Fee Concession for Wards of Defence Personnel

• 5% Fee Concession for Wards of Defence Personnel, Graphic Era University acknowledges and values the service rendered by the brave personnel of the Indian defence forces. As a gesture of gratitude, the university offers a blanket fee concession of 5% on the Net Tuition Fee for candidates who are children of Defence Personnel.
• The fee concession is applicable to both current and ex-servicemen from the Indian Armed Forces, including the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, and all Paramilitary Forces. It applies to candidates at all levels of study.
• To avail of the fee concession, the candidate is required to provide valid proof of their parent(s) being employed in the mentioned categories of the defence forces.

Loyalty Concession

• Loyalty Concession: 10% off on Net Tuition Fee for candidates with a UG Degree from any institution under Graphic Era Group of Institutions, irrespective of the gap between graduation and enrolling in a PG course.
• Sibling Concession: 7.5% off on Net Tuition Fee for immediate siblings of current students at Graphic Era, and 5% off for immediate siblings of Graphic Era alumni.
  • Concession applicable only to real siblings, not cousins or distant relatives.
  • If multiple real siblings seek admission together, only one will be eligible for the Sibling Concession.
  • If a current student becomes an alumni during their younger sibling's course, the concession changes from 7.5% to 5%.
• Both concessions aim to provide financial assistance and foster a sense of family within the Graphic Era University community.

Policy For The Application of The Scholarships/Concession

• Graphic Era University has a policy for scholarship application that defines a maximum of 3 additional scholarships a candidate can avail of along with the Academic Scholarship.
• All scholarships are applied in descending order to maximize the benefit to the candidate.
• An example use case: Candidate A is eligible for Academic Scholarship, Female Candidate Scholarship, Ward of Defence Personnel, Loyalty Concession, and Sibling Concession.
• The scholarships are applied in the following order: Academic Scholarship → Female Candidate Scholarship (10%) → Loyalty Concession (10%) → Sibling Concession (7.5%).
• Defence Scholarship (5%) wasn't included as it carries a lower value compared to the other eligible concessions, and only a maximum of 3 scholarships can be applied in addition to the Academic Scholarship to provide the highest possible concession.
