Government Of Dentistry College Indore, a maiden and Government Dental Institute shortly referred to as GDC Indore, was established in 1961 in Madhya Pradesh. The college has excellent facilities that include a library, many laboratories, a hospital, etc. GDS’s aim is to promote excellence in medical sciences education. GDS aims to educate students to become excellent clinicians, by focusing on pedagogy that is integrated and strengthened by specialist faculty, all of who value patient-focused care, community service, and research and to fulfill the health needs of humanity.

Government Of Dentistry College offers a BDS course in the UG domain and MDS with specializations at the PG level. GDS Admissions are based on NEET and NEET-MDS scores. To be eligible for the MDS courses, candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the 10+2 level examination for the BDS course and the applicants must have a BDS degree from a recognized dental college.

BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) is a 5-years (4 years + 1 year of compulsory internship) undergraduate program and the only approved professional dental course in India. MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) is a postgraduate degree program in Dentistry. The duration of the Master of Dental Surgery is three-years. The program is for students who want to become registered dental specialists. In their chosen fields of specialization, the MDS curriculum trains students to be both clinicians and advisory consultants.
